Recognizing and respecting the diverse spiritual needs of our patients, The Methodist Hospital provides care and support to people of all faiths.This reflects the hospital's commitment to embrace the whole person by responding to spiritual, as well as physical needs.

Methodist provides:

• Interdenominational chaplains who are available 24-hours a day
• Roman catholic services which are held daily and during special occasions
• A muslim prayer room is open 24 hours a day
• Pastoral services for a wide range of denominations

Muslim Prayer Room

In keeping with its mission to provide high quality health care in a spiritual environment, The Methodist Hospital established a prayer room. The prayer room provides a sanctuary for daily prayer and special congregational prayer on Fridays. It has a modest collection of Islamic literature including books, audio and videotapes.

Whether for prayer or comfort and support when dealing with the loss of a loved one, an imam is always on call to assist patients and their families.
