Valter Aleixo, Operations Manager
Valter is a native of Brazil. He came to the U.S. through a New York international exchange student program and has lived in Houston since 1985. He is fluent in several languages and has worked for Methodist International's Patient Services since 1990. In 1995, Valter was chosen Employee of the Year in the support category. He has a degree in English from the Federal University of Goiás, Brazil. |

Jane Ortega, Financial Operations Manager
Jane Ortega was born and raised in Texas and has worked in healthcare for over 30 years. She has worked at The Methodist Hospital and Methodist International since 1987 and never missed a working day. In addition to managing the financial operations for international patients, Jane is also responsible for national operations as well. She is fluent in both English and Spanish. Jane has dedicated her career to assisting patients and providing them with exceptional service every single day. |

Mark Sangster, Marketing and Business Development Manager
Mark Sangster provides direction for both the international marketing and market development programs. His unique approach to the initiatives of the division is attributed to his interestingly diverse cultural experiences having been born in South Africa, educated in England, and now happily married in Houston. Prior to the Methodist, Mark spent almost a decade in the private healthcare arena, which included establishing three start-up healthcare I.T. ventures. Mark holds a Bachelors degree in Business with Combined Science from the University of the West of England. |

Amelia Ortiz, Business Development Manager
Amelia Ortiz has been part of the Methodist International's Patient Services since 1998. She works extensively in both operations and business development to bring The Methodist Hospital to physicians, patients and providers throughout the World. Amelia is fluent in both English and Spanish. She is currently pursuing a degree in Communications at the University of Houston. |

Jose Solis, Business Development Specialist
Jose Solis was born in Mexico City and moved to Houston in 2000. He is fluent in both English and Spanish. Jose has been a part of the International Division at The Methodist Hospital for five years. He received his degree in accounting from the National Autonomous University of Mexico, Mexico City. Jose is very dedicated to the patients and families of The Methodist Hospital and strives every day to create, surpass and anticipate the needs and expectations of our international patients.
