Nagib Mustafa, Director of Operations and Business Development

Mr. Nagib Mustafa brings a wealth of knowledge, expertise, and character to the Methodist International team. For the past eight years, he has been working with Texas Children’s Hospital in international marketing and development, as well as supporting patient services operations. Nagib holds a Law degree from Libya, a Master of Arts in International Affairs from Ohio University, and a Master Degree of International Economic Law from the University of Houston.

Valter Aleixo, Manager of Operations

Valter is a native of Brazil. He came to the U.S. through a New York international exchange student program and has lived in Houston since 1985. He is fluent in several languages and has worked for the International Services Department for fourteen years. In 1995, Valter was chosen Employee of the Year in the support category. He has a degree in English from the Federal University of Goiás, Brazil.

Jane Ortega, Manager of Financial Operations

Jane Ortega was born and raised in Texas and has worked in healthcare for over 30 years. She has worked at The Methodist Hospital for 19 years and has been part of the International Services team for the last 7 years. In addition to managing the financial operations for international patients, Jane is also responsible for national operations as well. She is fluent in both English and Spanish. Jane has dedicated her career to assisting patients and providing them with exceptional service every single day.

Mark Sangster, Manager of Marketing and Business Development

Mark Sangster joined the Methodist International team 2 years ago and provides direction for both the international marketing and market development programs. His unique approach to the initiatives of the division is attributed to his interestingly diverse cultural experiences having been born in South Africa, educated in England, and now happily married in Houston. Prior to the Methodist, Mark spent almost a decade in the private healthcare arena, which included establishing three start-up healthcare I.T. ventures. Mark holds a Bachelors degree in Business with Combined Science from the University of the West of England.
