Halima Mamo, Patient Liaison
 Halima Mamo is a Jordanian, born in Syria and raised in Egypt. She moved to Houston in 1984 and has also lived in Germany. She is fluent in both Arabic and English. Halima has been part of the International Services team at The Methodist Hospital for nine years. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Art History from Cairo University and has also had training in medical terminology.
Laila Anakar, Patient Liaison
Laila Anakar was born in Morocco. She is fluent in English, Arabic, French and Spanish. Laila has worked in healthcare for ten years and has been part of the International Services team at The Methodist Hospital for almost six years! She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from the University of Houston.
Rebeca Jewett, Patient Liaison
Rebeca Jewett has been a part of the International Services team at The Methodist Hospital for over a year. She was born in Mexico City and moved to Houston in 1982. She has studied French and Italian and is fluent in English and Spanish. Rebeca has a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management from Escuela Superior de Administracion de Instituciones (ESDAI) in Mexico, and has extensive training in translating, accounting, travel, customer service, computer software and healthcare. Rebeca is an active member of the American Translators Association and is a Notary Public for the State of Texas!
Javier Paredes, Patient Liaison
Javier Paredes was born in Quito, Ecuador and moved to Houston in 2001. He is fluent in English and Spanish and has been a part of the International Services team for almost one year. He holds a Bachelor's degree in business administration from SEK University and has extensive training in customer service and hospitality.
Melissa Pena, Patient Liaison
Melissa Pena was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She is fluent in both English and Spanish. Melissa began volunteering in healthcare when she was just 14 years old! She has been part of the International Services team at The Methodist Hospital for three years. She graduated with honors from The University of Houston with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication. Melissa is thankful for the opportunity to serve patients and is committed to the responsibility she has to our patients and families.
Katherine Prueger, Patient Liaison
Katherine Prueger was born in Budapest, Hungary and was raised in Italy and Argentina. She moved to Houston in 1997 and is fluent in Hungarian, Italian, English, French and Spanish. She has been part of the International Services team at The Methodist Hospital for four years. Katherine attended university in Argentina and is a classically-trained pianist and instructor.
