The International Services team is dedicated to providing the most comprehensive, professional and compassionate care and service to our patients, their families and their physicians. The International Services team includes a, medical referral team, patient liaisons, financial representatives and administrative support team.

In addition to the Methodist providing world-class health care and state-of-the-art inpatient rooms, The Methodist Hospital also offers patients the option of first-class accommodations in the Sue Fondren Trammell Pavilion. This private, controlled-access area is a comprehensive care unit and is equipped to care for patients with any type of illness or injury, outside of the standard hospital setting. An array of amenities designed to accommodate every request is available including:

• The assistance of a concierge who can help you with non-medical requests and concerns, such as currency exchange, billing issues, travel and lodging arrangements and any other personal needs.
• A business center complete with computer, copier, fax, and conference room services. If required, private secretarial services may be contracted through the concierge.
• Special meals prepared by gourmet chefs who offer a variety of menus, especially prepared to meet each patient's dietary or religious requirements.

Language Assistance
The Methodist Hospital International Services team provides patients and their families the assistance of an interpreter throughout your stay. Our multilingual staff can provide language assistance during physician appointments as well as during any encounter related to your care at The Methodist Hospital. Our full-time staff speaks eight languages including: Arabic, French, Hungarian, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Turkish and Kurdish. In addition, we can arrange for the services of an interpreter for you and your family in 30 other languages not listed above.

Airport Assistance
Patient representatives from Methodist International Services can schedule airport assistance for you and your traveling companions. International Medical Visitor Service Center at Bush Intercontinental Airport, located on the ground floor of the international terminal. Open since May 2005, the visitor center includes a staffed reception area, a lobby with television and comfortable seating, a children's playroom, restrooms, a refrigerator stocked with refreshments. Upon arrival at the airport, an airport representative will serve as your guide and escort you through the customs and immigration process. The Houston Airport System provides Special Service Representatives who are fluent in 20 different languages and are on call 24 hours a day, ready to assist you with baggage claims, transportation, hotel selection and information on healthcare providers.

The staff of The Methodist Hospital International Services Department is accessible 24-hours a day, seven days a week. Multilingual patient representatives are available around-the-clock to help you with your clinical and non-clinical needs.
