The Methodist Hospital is committed to improving health care and
promoting the use of the most up-to-date information possible in
patient care and treatment. Such use has the potential to make an
immediate difference in the success of patients' medical treatment,
while making lasting contributions to the education and professional
development of their physicians.
The Methodist Telemedicine Service-using advanced video,
satellite, and Internet technology-allows medical professionals
from abroad to engage in an active, international exchange of
medical information. This allows collaboration and project
execution across borders, in areas including patient care, hospital
operations, research, and education.
Methodist also provides consultative radiology services to international
physicians and hospitals. By employing state-of-the-art
technology, Methodist can link with clinics and hospitals that are
equipped with compatible systems. These links allow Methodist
physicians to retrieve and review images of films such as x-rays,
MRIs, and CT scans, and provide international physicians with
comprehensive case review.
Whether for a second opinion on a specific patient, a videoconference
on hospital operations, the broadcast of an educational event,
or a review of diagnostic images, our dedicated IT staff will work
with you to customize a plan to meet your objective.
